Harlem Hurricanes Youth Services

We are a501(c)3 nonprofit, whose purpose is to help youths through sports and mentorship in neglected communities

Preparing for Success

We’ll show your kids how hard work can pay off, and how to build a healthy self-image.

We are here to help

There are no fees to join our team, you just have to possess a love for basketball and learning.

Our Staff

The staff is a well-rounded group of individuals, each possessing at least 20 plus years of playing and/or coaching experience. These gentlemen are great mentors and teachers. They have a lifetime of life skills & leadership to offer. By preparing everyone collectively and individually to form a bond as leaders and teammates as well as improving with basketball fundamentals drills. With our website, we hope to receive donations to help our kids experience things they normally wouldn’t be able to. This includes things like educational trips and advanced educational equipment and technology. With your help, we can provide these kids with some unforgettable experiences that will prepare them for life down the road!

“I am an original harlem hurricane from when the program started in 2012, since then, they helped me mold my game and mentored me to get me into higher education. I am seated here with my current coach signing my letter of intent to play at the university of Texas.”

Support Our Cause

Kids need something to focus their energy on. They need peers to relate to and healthily compete with. Wouldn’t you love your kids to be a part of a sports team that did more than just sports? One that helped prepare them for life and responsibility? That’s why there’s the Harlem Hurricanes! We’re a non-profit basketball club for youth aged 12-16. In addition to improving through basketball fundamentals drills, in the summer we double as a mentor/tutoring program. The club currently includes two teams, but we’re looking to expand.
